Mini report on Visit
March 29th 2018 was a very unusual day at the Ganga Ashram. 110 yogis from the North India tour, in 3 buses visited for about 3 hours. After arriving at around 2:30 pm, they were able to eat some lunch on the right hand beach, where a large tent had been erected to create some shade. Local caterers had assisted with this, plus of course food preparation etc. On the left hand beach individuals foot soaked and enjoyed the peace and tranquility of Ganga. Up at the Ashram the meditation room, veranda and terrace were filled with people; bhajans were sung. The whole place was buzzing with yogis. It was, as usual difficult to motivate a large group of yogis to say goodbyes and get back on the buses, but it was a very happy and joyful occasion. Jai Shri Mataji!

Raja Bhageeratha did penance for thousands of years to bring down the holy river Ganga from the heavens to the earth to wash away the sins of his forefathers and also for the benefit of humanity generation after generation. The above painting shows Shri Sadashiva bears her descent in his matted locks and the holy Nandi, Shri Parvati & Bhageeratha look upon.
In this Kaliyuga, due to the Tapasya of many devotees Shri Adi Shakti also has come down to the earth to wash away the ignorance of humanity, give them self realization and make them feel the divine cool breeze of holy Ganga (Param Chaitanya). |
